Sharlee Lyons graduated from Taylor University with a BS in English Education and from Ball State University with a MA in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education. Sharlee is a student success professional and teacher at heart. She served as a corporate trainer at Brightpoint, Inc. and was the Training Manager at Purdue Federal Credit Union. After leaving the credit union, Sharlee founded The People Business, Inc., her own training and consulting firm. She served as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing at The United Way of Greater Lafayette for 3 years and has worked with students at Huntington University and Purdue University. She joined the Krannert staff in June 2014 and works with undergraduate and graduate students and staff on personal and professional leadership development. Her mission in life is to be an encouragement to others and help them realize their strengths and potential.
Director of Krannert Leaders Academy
Debbi Bearden graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Communications. She is the Coordinator of Management Honors and Direct Admit Programs. Debbi advises KLA students on plans of study, registration, course selection, graduation and career planning. She also advises prospective KLA students on career choices within Krannert. Debbi is the Krannert representative and advisor for the Honors College and KLA Learning Community. She is the sponsor to the Executive Student Board (ESB), planning events for the KLA Learning Communities. She is a member of both PACADA and NACADA. She has received the School of Management Outstanding Advisor Award, Purdue Student Government (PSG) Outstanding Advisor Award and the PACADA Advisor of the Year Award. Debbi's passion is helping undergraduate students achieve their educational dreams.
KLA Academic Advisor
Sanjana Dey is an Asian American from Northern California who has studied and lived in several states within the U.S. as well as a few different countries around the world before she joined Purdue! Sanjana received her B.S in Psychology from Allegheny College, a small private liberal arts located in Pennsylvania and then went on to get her M.A. in High Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University (OSU). As a graduate student Sanjana served as an Assistant Hall Director for over 1100 students per residence hall and worked directly with the College of Nursing learning community to plan and implement programs that aided pre-nursing college students in the process of applying for the College of Nursing. Sanjana has spent over two years working with the general Krannert student population as an Academic Advisor and more recently transitioned to a new position as a Senior Academic Advisor for the Krannert Leaders Academy population. Sanjana has a passion for helping college students develop and fulfill their own academic, personal, and professional objectives by helping them be a part of constructive and meaningful experiences.
KLA Academic Advisor
Hannah Harper is a graduate of the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue with a degree in Public Relations and Rhetorical Advocacy. She joined Krannert in November 2016 as the Program Coordinator for the Jane Brock-Wilson Women in Management Center and the Krannert Leaders Academy. Before coming to Krannert, Hannah worked as a leasing consultant and member of the marketing team for Granite Student Living in West Lafayette, where she helped provide a plan for the company's branding. Most recently, she worked as a writer-editor for Purdue Marketing and Media, working primarily with Admissions and providing support for publications.
