Let Me Tell You About Us:
The Krannert Leaders Academy offers accelerated classes, professional workshops and unique social events to top incoming freshmen. Academy students are granted admission to Upper Division classes upon entering Purdue, without any requirement of review after Lower Division classes have been completed.
Incoming domestic students for fall semester 2017 qualify for the Krannert Leaders Academy with an SAT score of at least 1350, or 28 on the ACT, and an unweighted core GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Incoming international students for fall semester 2017 qualify for the Krannert Leaders Academy with a minimum total TOEFL score of 88 and a minimum speaking TOEFL score of 23.
All incoming students in the Krannert Leaders Academy and Direct Admit Program receive scholarships from the School of Management, which awards approximately $800,000 in total undergraduate scholarships annually. In addition to Krannert-specific scholarships, you can also apply for University-wide scholarships. The Krannert Leaders Academy lets you choose from a more challenging and wider variety of coursework and earn eligibility to apply to the Purdue Honors College. Working with an academic advisor who is available exclusively to Academy students, you can access career planning, mentoring classes and coaching services beginning in your freshman year. You'll develop a customized plan of study, network with successful alumni and create your own "Board of Advisors".
As a student in the Krannert Leaders Academy, you can participate in related leadership initiatives, take interdisciplinary seminar courses, challenge yourself in case competitions and engage in experiential programs involving entrepreneurship, service learning and global travel. You'll also have the opportunity to work with Krannert faculty members on research projects in your chosen field of study
Leadership Certificate Program:
This certificate is a four-year program to incentivize students to reach their professional potential through different levels of participation and leadership involvement in Krannert activities. KLA students should shoot for gold or platinum status.
Requirements to apply to the Academy for current Krannert students
- Student must be within their first 3 semesters at Krannert
- Student must have a 3.5 GPA
- Student must have attended 3 KLA activities
- Student must submit at least 1 letter of recommendation from a Krannert faculty or staff member
- Student must submit a Resume, Letter of Intent, and their Digital Profile
- International Students must score a minimum TOEFL score of 88 and a minimum speaking TOEFL score of 23
- Application can be made at the end of each semester
- Students will be asked for an interview after the application process
