FAQs

Is the KLA Learning Community a live-in community in the residence halls?

No. Students interested in joining the KLA learning community are not required to live in a specific residence hall and are invited to participate in all learning community events.

If I’m not admitted to the Krannert Leaders Academy, am I still a Krannert student?

Yes. The Krannert Leaders Academy is a population of admitted Krannert students who meet academy requirements [link to What is KLA? page]. You do not have to be a member of the Academy to be a Krannert student.

If I do not meet the requirements for KLA as a freshman, can I apply later?

Yes. If you will not be eligible to join KLA as a first semester freshman, you can apply once you have met the requirements. Please visit the Apply tab [link to Apply tab] for more information.

Can I speak with an advisor when I visit campus?

You cannot speak with an advisor until you are a Krannert student. When you visit campus for STAR (Summer Transition, Advising and Registration) [link to http://www.purdue.edu/orientation/star/], you will meet your advisor and discuss the courses you will take during your first year.

How can I apply for scholarships?

Students interested in applying for scholarships through the Krannert School of Management should visit krannert.purdue.edu/scholarships.

Whom should I contact if I’m interested in learning more about KLA?
