(PriProTex), a company specializing in secure supply-chain collaboration systems and software. Professor Schwarz's book credits include Multi-Level Production/Inventory Control Systems: Theory and Practice (TIMS/North Holland, 1981); and Micro-Computer Software for Operations Management, co-authored with James Freeland, (University of Virginia, 1986). Professor Schwarz's research articles have appeared in Manufacturing & Operations Management, Management Science, Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, AIIE Transactions, and Operations Research. He is a member of INFORMS, OMA, POMS, and APICS. Professor Schwarz is a Fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). He was the Founding Editor of Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and the Founding Director of Purdue's Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises (1987-90). He is a Fellow of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), and Ameritech Foundation Fellow of Manufacturing Management. He received the 2001 Distinguished Service Award from the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society and the 2002 Service Award from INFORMS.
