“Purdue's Executive MBA program initially drew me with the hybrid method of teaching. The ability to do most of the work at home and still attend a residency period was perfect fit in my professional and personal life.”

Being a business owner and a mother, the structure of the Purdue EMBA residencies was very attractive to me. Other programs are shorter, yet more frequent and that would not work as well with my schedule. I also feel that the longer residencies will allow for a more in-depth learning experience and development of team relationships.
I was also very impressed that the students play an active role in decisions about their learning experience -- from selecting their electives to deciding on the international residency location as a group. Knowing that I will dictate the direction of my education in this program gives me confidence that I will reap the desired benefits that apply to my specific career path.
Lastly, I was very fortunate to get a feel for the Purdue experience through the Veterinary Practice Management Program. Through those modules, I was able to appreciate the structure of the learning environment, the hospitality and dedication of the program staff members and the relevance of the material taught.”

The aspect of the Purdue EMBA program that hooked me was the hybrid approach to learning. With a demanding career with responsibility of seven sites in four countries, I needed a program that was flexible and allowed me to learn on my own time. The online courses combined with virtual group work on a weekly basis, balanced with the in-person residencies for each module, was exactly what I was seeking
I knew the Purdue EMBA was the right program for me based on the warm and collaborative interactions I had with the program staff from day one. In each and every communication, they were extremely helpful, compassionate and sincere. Based on this, I knew I wanted to spend the next 19 months and beyond working with a professional and supportive team of staff and professors. Just like in any other organization; Purdue’s people are their most valuable asset and they were a big influence on my final decision.”

I was looking for an EMBA program with the ability to connect with fellow students with a broad depth of experience. I felt that the average tenure and profile of the cohort members met that requirement. I was also intrigued by the on-campus residences which fit well with family-life balance.
After attending the on-campus site visit where I was able to meet with the current cohort, speak with the executive director and attend a class, I knew that the program was the right fit for me. It is the perfect balance of rigor and team work that I was looking for in a program.

The Purdue EMBA program admissions process was outstanding, including the initial interactions about potential fit for my career goals, the very informative webinars, the personalized support and responsiveness to my emails, and the very clear process and openness. It was at the right level of difficult and I also enjoyed meeting the program team and going through the interviews.
As I reviewed several EMBA programs, I kept reverting back to Purdue University because of the on-campus residency option. I was impressed how the Purdue University EMBA program fosters cohorts that bring individuals from many industries and different career levels together. I think the diversity of the program will allow me to understand how to lead teams differently and make operational decisions more effectively through collective discussion during residency.
As I walked through the EMBA classrooms and met the staff, I sensed a family atmosphere where individuals can learn and interact without judgment. After this visit, I knew that the Purdue EMBA program was the right choice for me.”
I reviewed eight different schools, six in the Midwest and two on the East Coast. All of them were highly ranked and had wonderful reviews from students. Ultimately, however, I found that Purdue presented the best possible value for my goals. The staff at the Executive Education office were extremely helpful and responsive, the courses and electives fit my interests and the on-campus experience was energizing! I left campus that day eager to learn more and get started right away.

I found the Purdue EMBA Program admissions process to be a very positive experience. The streamlined application site provided easy to follow step-by-step instructions and allowed me to complete portions at my convenience. The program staff was informed, professional, and responsive. I found the interview to be a welcomed and insightful review of my personal and professional fitness for success in the program. Upon admittance, the only difficulty I encountered was waiting for my cohort class to begin!

The Purdue EMBA is about stretching my analytical and critical thinking abilities in an environment where I am forced to have the presence and fortitude to state and debate my thoughts -- while accepting the opinions of other exceptional talent who are looking to do the same. The small cohort gathering for intensive sessions over the 19 months leads to a trusting dynamic wherein students can then be vulnerable to take risks, express themselves and gain deeper understanding.

By earning my EMBA at Purdue, I’m hoping to gain a new set of tools that will enable me to have a quicker and more effective decision-making process, while implementing a culture of constant self-improvement within my team, to keep up with the demands in our fast-fashion industry.
"The Purdue EMBA format was right for me. I did not want to pursue a program only offered online, as networking was important to me. Additionally, due to my geographic location, traveling every weekend would have been a major challenge. Other factors that rated high during my evaluation were Purdue’s reputation and the quality of the professors the program offered."

"When choosing an Executive MBA program, I looked for a world-class program to help me improve my career without leaving my job. Having worked in a multicultural and multinational environment in several countries, I needed a program that would help me transition from a technical specialist role to general management.
The flexible program enabled me to become a well-rounded executive."
"I researched many EMBA programs, and Purdue is unique in its quarterly residency schedules and cohort design. This format allows students to experience the culture and pride of Purdue University and encourages a strong basis of teamwork for class study, which is very similar to the military team mentality."
"It was the best combination of what you can get with a full-time program and the online program. It's somewhere in-between. I can't imagine being able to soak up the knowledge that I was going to in the weeks on campus (in a weekend program)."
"Earning an EMBA had long been a goal of mine. But due to family and job commitments, it wasn't possible for me-or so I thought. Purdue's format was critical in my decision to choose Purdue EMBA Programs. The limited amount of trips to campus made this EMBA program an ideal solution for my situation."

"The biggest reason I chose to come to Purdue EMBA Programs was because everyone I spoke with while applying was so accommodating and friendly that I knew the program would be focused on student needs. This was key since we are all working professionals and need a flexible, understanding program. At Purdue I always felt like the customer whose needs were important, and that you cared that I get what I wanted out of the program.
I can't speak highly enough about my experience as a Purdue EMBA student."
"The Purdue EMBA program has impacted me in the following ways. One, it has given me the foundation of a much better understanding of the business environment. Two, it enabled me to communicate across the organization across multiple functions, and it gave me a much better understanding of different functional perspectives on various business opportunities. And, three, it really gave me the ability to understand the external environment much better outside of my company and outside my industry.
The quality of the professors and the students in the classroom is clearly the differentiating factor. Also, the structure of the program really is what makes it a world-class MBA program."
"Since graduating, I have a greater appreciation for all parts of the corporate world, and the program has allowed me to move up in the organization and understand everybody’s goals and job responsibilities and to be more attuned to the company rather than just my small part of it.
The best part is the residencies. Two weeks to focus on your studies is the best format for learning versus a weekend-type program. I learned from colleagues in the program as much as from the professors."
While I was a student, my daughter was born inbetween semesters, and my classmates gave me a baby shower! We collaborated well, and it is one of the first memories of openly working with different perspectives/companies, and this approach prepared me well for the corporate world. I have had the great fortune of maintaining lasting friendships with numerous classmates – exchanging annual updates, following them on LinkedIn, visiting their homes, and/or working at the same company!
This program was right for me because I was able to maintain a full-time job, without foregoing my family responsibilities, especially parenting a newborn, and all with challenging coursework that encouraged remote interactions.
