Founded in 1869, Purdue University was named after its primary original benefactor, famous industrialist John Purdue. Since its establishment, Purdue has earned an international reputation for excellence as an analytical working school. Interestingly (but not surprisingly), more astronauts have graduated from Purdue than any other university.
Our international student body is comprised of individuals from all walks of life, who arrive at Purdue to perpetuate our history of distinction in academia. Purdue University strives to educate its students beyond the classroom, instilling a global mindset across campus which cultivates a socially aware, highly-capable body of scholars.
Purdue University’s programs rank among the best in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s standings of the top graduate schools. Bloomberg BusinessWeek and Forbes, too, distinguish Purdue’s MBA program among the 50 best Master’s in Business Administration programs in the country.
Purdue University’s main campus is located in beautiful West Lafayette, Indiana. Besides the bountiful natural resources located within the state – Lake Michigan, Canal and White River State Park, the Indiana Dunes – Indiana is famous for its hospitality and an enthusiastic commitment to academics.
