March 4, 2014

The Purdue Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) volunteer team at Krannert was awarded the  2014 Focus Award, in the organization category by Purdue University.

The Office of Institutional Equity hosted an event recognizing the award winners on March 4, in conjunction with Disability Awareness Month.

We appreciate the Purdue faculty, staff, students, alumni, retirees, civic groups, football team, and friends who all support the EBV program.

The Purdue volunteer EBV team community is over 400 members strong and we thank everyone of our volunteers and donors.

Your efforts and contributions of time and resources are furthering Purdue University’s Commitment to Disability Accessibility and Diversity.

A Special THANK YOU to all of the EBV Volunteers and to our Veterans!

March is Disability Awareness Month in the State of Indiana

This year’s theme, “Dare to Dream,” speaks to the importance of being a positive force in our community.

A meaningful poem shared at the event:
When sight is measured by one’s vision of the future,

when mobility is defined by putting words into action,

when it takes nothing special to meet special needs,

then we will transcend the community of our dreams.
