A typical day during residency...

The daily structure is organized to maximize learning, but also let you stay connected with work and family. Below is how a typical day is organized:

Executive MBA – Daily Structurewalking-by-Krannert-Center

7:30 to 8:30: Breakfast at Krannert Center

8:30 to 10:00: Class 1 (Course A)

10:00 to 10:30: Coffee/Snack Break

10:30 to 12:00: Class 2 (Course A)

12:00 to 1:00: Lunch at Krannert Center

1:00 to 2:30: Class 3 (Course B)

2:30 to 3:00: Coffee/Snack Break

3:00 to 4:30: Class 4 (Course B)

All students stay at the Union Club Hotel, which is directly across the street and connected to Krannert Center by an underground tunnel.

Evenings:   There is a range of activities that take place after classes are done.  Many students go to the nearby and recently remodeled Recreational Sports Center.  On evenings when students may be working on projects, we will order in dinner around 6:00 pm.  Each student team is allocated a study room in Krannert Center to do group work and projects.  On other evenings, we will have an off-site dinner, alumni event, or a social event such as golf or a basketball game (Boiler Up!).  Some evenings are relatively open.

The above structure allows for intensity of learning and interacting with fellow classmates.  The four daily classes are organized to include some break-out activities.  We also typically will have different topics covered in the morning versus the afternoon (e.g., Leadership in the morning, Finance in the afternoon) to provide daily variety.  The breaks allow you to check-in at work (if needed) or let the family know how you are doing.  There is also the opportunity to arrange meetings with our Career Guidance Director during meals, breaks, or after classes are done for the day.

Classes are held Monday to Saturday.  For two week modules, the first Saturday follows the above schedule and the second Saturday we finish classes by 2:30 pm.  For single-week modules, we finish classes by 2:30 pm on Saturday.
