IMM 2015 Class visits Philips Lighting in Belgium
On 18 June, during the first residency of the program, the IMM 2015 class visited Philips – more specifically, Philips Lighting. After a light show and demonstration at the Philips Lighting Application Center in Eindhoven (The Netherlands), Martin Oerder
, Vice-President of the Outdoor Segment of Philips Professional Lighting Systems gave a presentation on how Philips leads the change in lighting. Next, Inge Bruynooghe
, Plant Manager of the Philips Lighting factory in Turnhout (Belgium) presented the strategy of Philips Lighting Turnhout for the future.
Philips Lighting Turnhout is currently the world leader in the field of lighting technology. Nine of twelve stadiums at this summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup football in Brazil use Philips lighting. The plant visit was concluded by a tour of the Philips factory in Turnhout.
Diego Morales (IMM 2012)
was the featured alumni speaker for the Alumni Appreciation dinner on Feb. 19th. He was recently featured in Que Viva
magazine, talking about his experiences in achieving The American Dream. Diego is currently the Director of Community Affairs for Indiana Governor Michael R. Pence. His background includes strong executive management experience in foreign affairs, governmental affairs, public relations, and political campaigns, as well as in global marketing, supply chain management, and business development. Morales uses his skills and education gained through business, the US Military and graduate studies around the world to help promote economic development and the creation of jobs. Morales was born in Guatemala and raised in Sellersburg Indiana. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife Sidonia.
Krannert Endorsed for Equis Accreditation
The Krannert School of Management, including the Executive MBA and Global MBA (IMM) programs, was recently approved for EQUIS accreditation (one of only a handful of US schools) for a three-year term the maximum length for a first-time approval). This accreditation comes from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and along with AACSB accreditation represent the highest standards of excellence for a business school.
