Strategic Management
Think big thoughts. Discover and implement the things that will most likely bring you and your company success over a period of time. That’s the essence of Strategic Management.
Herman Krannert, for whom our school is named, talked about the importance of the big picture. About the value of the person who saw the forest and understood the trees. Strategic Management is looking at how parts of the business affect the whole business - what improvements could be made and what that would mean for the whole business.
Strategic Management is always looking forward – anticipating changes, trends and opportunities. It relies on data and analysis to recognize these things. It relies on solid business skills to know what to do in the face of change. Strategic Management is leadership.
Students that pursue Strategic Management at Krannert will find preeminent faculty and a broad range of coursework from game theory to manufacturing strategy to electronic commerce and information strategy.
