Change of Degree Objective (CODO)
Change of Degree Objective (CODO) allows a current Purdue student to transfer from one school or college to another within Purdue.
In order to CODO to the School of Management, students are required to:
- Watch the Krannert CODO videos, located on this page, and complete the survey at the end of the video.
- Carefully read and follow the Change of Curricula process located on the Purdue University Registrar’s website.
- Print and fill out the Change of Curriculum Form.
- Bring the following to your meeting with a Management Advisor (KRAN 352) at the Krannert School of Management.
- Change of Curriculum Form
- Survey confirmation email
- Walk-in Advisors are available to meet with CODO-In students most weekdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30- 4:30 p.m.
How to CODO
All School of Management students are required to complete the Management Admission Index courses (MAI) or Economics Admission Index (EAI) before admission to upper division in the Krannert School of Management.
Lower Division CODO Requirements
Students currently completing the MAI or EAI requirements may CODO into the lower division Pre-Management, Pre-Accounting, Pre-Industrial Management or Pre-Economics. Students wishing to CODO in cannot be on academic probation.
Students must meet the following requirements to CODO into lower division:
Pre-Management or Pre-Accounting
- 12 credit hour completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
- 2.5 Overall Minimum GPA
- MA 22300, Intro Analysis I (Calculus), or equivalent completed with a C- or higher
- Minimum C- in any completed MAI courses
Pre-Economics
- 12 credit hour completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
- 2.5 Overall Minimum GPA
- MA 22300, Intro Analysis I (Calculus), or equivalent completed with a C- or higher
- Minimum C- in any completed EAI courses
Pre-Industrial Management
- 12 credit hour completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
- 2.4 Overall Minimum GPA
- MA 16100/16500 or equivalent completed with a C- or higher
- Minimum C- in any completed MAI courses
Upper Division CODO Requirements
Students who have completed all MAI or EAI classes may CODO into Management, Accounting, Industrial Management or Economics (Upper Division). Students wishing to CODO in cannot be on academic probation.
Students must meet the following requirements to CODO into Upper Division:
Management or Accounting
- 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
- 3.0 MAI minimum GPA /2.5 Overall minimum GPA
- ALL MAI courses completed prior to CODO
- Minimum of C- in ALL MAI and School of Management courses
Economics
- 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
- 2.75 EAI minimum GPA /2.5 overall minimum GPA
- ALL EAI courses completed prior to CODO
- Minimum of C- in ALL EAI and ECON courses
Industrial Management
- 12 credit hours completed at Purdue West Lafayette Campus
- 2.85 MAI minimum GPA/2.4 overall minimum GPA
- ALL MAI courses completed prior to CODO
- Minimum of C- in ALL MAI and School of Management courses
- Minimum of a C- in Chemistry/Physics Requirements
