The Daniels School of Business is dedicated to making study abroad an integral part of the academic experience and easy as possible for every interested student. We encourage you to include one of these global programs into your plan of study.

The following programs are Daniels School-approved because of the quality of business courses that are offered at these reputable institutions. In addition to the school's Nancy H. Handel Study Abroad Program, business students are eligible to participate in other campus-wide programs offered through the Study Abroad office.

Yonsei University – Exchange
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Duration: Semester/Summer
Program: As the oldest university in Korea, Yonsei University was first established in 1885. The university is particularly fortunate to have a spacious, quiet and well-wooded campus located just 20 minutes away from the economic, political and cultural centers of the Seoul metropolitan area. The School of Business at Yonsei University has become a leading institution of business education in Korea and has been an important contributor for the past 90 years to Korea’s economic vitality. National Chengchi University – Exchange
Location: Taipei, Taiwan

Program: College of Commerce at National Chengchi University has long been dedicated to the excellence of business education. As a part of this tradition, the exchange program emphasizes the importance of mutual understanding in an increasingly competitive global market. Such recognition is particularly clear when Asia is integrating itself into and exerting influences over the dynamics of world markets. Queensland University of Technology – Exchange & Study Australia
Duration: Semester or 2 semesters
Program: Business is QUT's largest faculty, attracting over a quarter of the university's enrollments, and is also one of the largest business faculties in Australia. Through various collaborations with industry and professional bodies, QUT is a key player in the business community with extensive local and international links. Students can take courses in Accounting, Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations, Economics, Finance and Management.

Sydney Internship – Purdue Administered

Program: Sydney is one of the most exciting cities in the world, an invigorating multi-cultural metropolis which blends an intoxicating contemporary energy with a fascinating history and a stunning natural site. The Sydney Internship Program combines a three-credit unpaid internship with a three-credit academic course over a seven-week period. The Sydney program is designed to allow students to study and work in an international setting while developing an appreciation for Australian culture.

Copenhagen Business School - Exchange
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Duration: Semester/Summer
Program: Copenhagen Business School is the largest business school in northern Europe. CBS was built in 1917 by the Danish Society for the advancement of Business Education. CBS is also a member of PIM, or Partnership in International Management, a corresponding international consortium of prestigious business schools. Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, has a rich history influenced by more than 800 years of Danish settlement. Copenhagen is rare in that it combines the economic, scientific, and cultural life of a modern city with a relaxed, small town atmosphere. Copenhagen is the seat of Danish Parliament, the central government, international organizations, research libraries, national museums of art and history, and the national media.

United Kingdom

London Internship – Purdue Administered
Location: London, United Kingdom (England)
Duration: Summer
Program: Interns will live in London, one of the world's most cosmopolitan and international cities, and commute to work by 'tube.' London is filled with museums, art galleries, and major tourist attractions including Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. The London Internship Program combines a three-credit unpaid internship with a three-credit academic course over a seven-week period. The London program is designed to allow students to study and work in an international setting while developing an appreciation for British culture.

Italy

CIMBA-CIU – Co-sponsored
Location: Paderno del Grappa, Italy
Duration: Semester/Summer
Program: The CIMBA-CIU (Consortium of Universities for International Studies) program is especially attractive to Purdue students majoring in management and communication. The CIMBA-CIU approach is to combine technical competence with knowledge of European culture, international relations, etiquette and Italian cuisine. Outside speakers provide students with an opportunity to meet European business leaders, and excursions to local concerns offer a peek at the world of Italian businesses, large and small. The center is located in the small, northeastern Italian town of Paderno del Grappa, in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains north of Venice.

CIEE – Barcelona Business and Culture – Co-sponsored
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Duration: Semester/summer

Program: The Business and Culture Program at CIEE Barcelona is designed for students who have a strong interest in business and economics and who have no previous Spanish language ability or have completed one to three university semesters of Spanish. This program is administered by the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a 200-university academic consortium. Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, one of Spain's 17 provinces. The distinctive history and language of this port city are the products of a continuous influx of different cultures. The CIEE study center is located at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

CIEE – Seville Business and Society – Co-sponsored
Location: Sevilla, Spain
Duration: Semester
Program:
The Business and Society Program at CIEE Sevilla is designed for students with advanced Spanish language ability who want to understand Spain's economy and business management principles in the context of the European Union. Courses in business, economics, social sciences, and the humanities are available. The program is administered by the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a 200-university academic consortium. Sevilla is the political, religious, cultural and intellectual capital of Andalucia. The city's cathedral and the royal Alcazar Palace, located in the historic city center, exhibit the influences of the Muslim, Jewish and Christian cultures that flourished in Sevilla until the late 15th century. The program is located in the School of Economics and Business of the University of Sevilla.

Mexico

Tec De Monterrey – Exchange
Location: Monterrey, Mexico
Duration: Semester/Summer

Program: Purdue University offers a student exchange program with the Institution Technológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Tec), one of the leading universities in Mexico. 'The Tec' as it is called in Mexico, is particularly strong in agriculture, engineering, management, science, and liberal arts (especially Spanish and international relations). The main Tec campus is in the city of Monterrey. Monterrey is the third largest city, and one of the safest, in Mexico. NAFTA has positioned Monterrey as a vital financial, cultural and industrial bridge between Mexico and the international community.

Glossary of Terminology

Exchange - Students participating in exchange programs will be enrolled as regular students at the partner university but pay tuition to Purdue.

Co-sponsored - Students accepted by these programs pay the program fees plus a Purdue Study Abroad fee.

Direct Enroll - Students accepted into a direct enroll program pay the tuition and fees assessed by the institution or university as well as a Purdue study abroad fee and for emergency medical insurance.

Purdue Administered - Programs which are designed and administered by the Study Abroad office and typically take place over the summer.

Departmental Programs - Programs which are designed and organized by a particular department or school at Purdue.
