City University of Hong Kong – Exchange
Location: Honk Kong
Program: The City University of Hong Kong (CityU) was established in 1984 as the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong. It was granted university status in 1994, and has since grown and developed at a remarkable pace. It is still an important international trading post, but today Hong Kong is also a powerful manufacturing base and the world's third-largest financial center after New York and London. Hong Kong is the 'Wall Street of Asia,' with banking, international insurance, advertising, and publishing among its biggest industries, and it is one of the world's leading manufacturer and exporter of toys, garments, watches and electronics. All university courses, with the exception of language courses, are in English. Thus, studying at CityU should present no language difficulty to interested students.

Duration: Semester/Summer Program: NEGOCIA is an international center of business education specializing in sales,marketing and business negotiation. Located in the city of Paris, NEGOCIA has a student body of1,400 and offers ultra-modern facilities and strong alliances with corporate leaders such as Alcatel, Bosch, France Telecom, IBM, L'Oreal, Renault, Xerox, Vivendi and Whirlpool. The program's goal is to allow participants to obtain an overview of business in the French and European environment. It includes course instruction, practical training, case studies, company visits and interviews. Instruction is in English by French and European faculty members.

Program: The Consortium International University (CIU) program is especially attractive to Purdue students majoring in Management and Communication. The CIU approach is to combine technical competence with knowledge of European culture, international relations, etiquette and Italian cuisine. Outside speakers provide students with an opportunity to meet European business leaders, and excursions to local concerns offer a peek at the world of Italian businesses, large and small. Program: The Business and Culture Program at CIEE Barcelona is designed for students who have a strong interest in business and economics and who have no previous Spanish language ability or have completed one to three university semesters of Spanish. This program is administered by the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a 200-university academic consortium. Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, one of Spain's seventeen provinces. The distinctive history and language of this port city are the products of a continuous influx of different cultures. Program: The Business and Society Program at CIEE Sevilla is designed for students with advanced Spanish language ability who want to understand Spain's economy and business management principles in the context of the European Union. Courses in business, economics, social sciences, and the humanities are available. The program is administered by the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a 200-university academic consortium. Sevilla is the political, religious, cultural, and intellectual capital of Andalucia. The city's cathedral and the royal Alcazar Palace, located in the historic city center, exhibit the influences of the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian cultures that flourished in Sevilla until the late 15th century. The Business and Society program is located in the School of Economics and Business of the University of Sevilla.
