Saurabh has 4 years of work experience in Business Analytics. A national chess player, Saurabh received his degree in Civil Engineering from NIT Nagpur, one of the top Engineering colleges in India. Saurabh has worked with two of the most valuable tech companies, and has been shaped by the fast-paced startup culture. He was a Senior Business Analyst with Ola Cabs, where he led the Analytics division of one of India’s Tier 1 cities. He was critical in overhauling the system and introduced a culture of making data driven decisions. Earlier, Saurabh worked with Mu Sigma as a Decision Scientist, and used Analytics to solve a multitude of problems for his client, The Home Depot, ranging from Financial Services, Supply Chain Management, and Credit Services.
Saurabh’s love for numbers and technology first developed when he was 13: when Gary Kasparov was beaten in chess by Deep Blue, a computer developed by IBM. Ever since, Saurabh has been deeply fascinated by the power of machines, and has endeavored to harness it in the real world. He has created programs ranging from simple calculators to complex automated tools that control forecasting models.
At Purdue, Saurabh aims to enhance his quantitative and technical skills, while gaining knowledge of an assortment of business verticals. A good Business Analyst is a combination of Math, Business and Technology, and with the MS BAIM program, Saurabh hopes to develop himself and acquire a potent mix of the right skills to successfully solve challenging real-world problems faced by businesses.
