Siyu obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed an internship with China Minsheng Bank as an Assistant Financial Manager in 2014 and has also worked for University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as mailroom assistant from 2015 to 2017.
Siyu learned that people are bounded rational from his Political Psychology class. This notion of bounded rationality further inspired him to study more about analytics. He realized that choices are never made based on perfect information, and the ability of people to extract information is crucial for decision making. Through analytics, strategies can be better designed and efficiency will be promoted eventually in general.
After completing the Master’s of Science in Business Analytics and Information Management program at Purdue University, Siyu plans to apply his economic expertise and programming skills in the field of business analytics. He looks forward to optimizing strategies for consulting firms and solving real-world problems for business corporations.
