Purdue’s Next Big Move:
A New School of Business

Mitch Daniels

“Students in Purdue’s new School of Business will receive a well-rounded education, including the history, philosophy, and economic theory of free market systems, and a firm grounding in the liberal arts and the communication skills that come with it. They will enter the world proud of the careers they have chosen and thoroughly prepared for leadership and managerial excellence in the most technologically complex fields.” — Purdue University President Mitch Daniels

This is our moment,
our next giant leap.

Under President Mitch Daniels’ leadership, Purdue University is launching a new School of Business that will create the next generation of students ready to lead, or found, great companies and transform society.

The new School of Business will build upon Purdue’s mission as a land-grant university to make education more affordable and accessible.

We will prioritize four foundational pillars:

Technology needs business to change the world. Our students will harness communication skills, hands-on learning, and technological excellence to turn new discoveries into societal change.

STEM: SOLVES
TECHNICAL PROBLEMS
+
BUSINESS: INTEGRATES,
ORGANIZES AND SCALES
=
SOCIETY:
POSITIVELY CHANGED

GROUNDED IN
TRADITION,
WE WILL CREATE
NEW INDUSTRIES
