Carmen Collier
Associate Director, Operational Excellence, Bristol-Myers Squibb

Carmen has more than 25 years of experience delivering executive-level consultation to information technology, construction, engineering, government, and manufacturing organizations. Currently, she is the Associate Director for Operational Excellence at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS), where she is responsible for creating a business excellence culture for the Cell Therapy Manufacturing Site. In this role, Carmen oversees the development and leadership of opportunities to implement continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

Before her time at BMS, Carmen’s career experience includes positions in large-scale program management, creating engineering designs for subdivisions, implementing global customer relationship management systems and conducting merger and acquisition reviews. Her career progression includes roles with the EDS, Cummins, Mortenson Construction and Amazon. She joined BMS in May 2021.

Active in her community, Carmen has served as a mentor for the National Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) program, Indianapolis Chapter, and as the Director of Membership for the Twin Cities Chapter. She has also held leadership roles on numerous corporate diversity and inclusion committees.

Carmen has an MBA from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. She resides in Lynnwood, WA, and is a native of Warrensburg, MO.
