Robert and Terry Bowen bring the Bowen Scholars Program to BOP
Known for their compassion, generosity, and unwavering support of educational opportunities for youth and nontraditional students within the Indianapolis metropolitan area, Dr. Robert Bowen, P.E. and Mrs. Terry Bowen provided substantial scholarships to BOP students through their Bowen Scholars Program. The Bowen Scholars Program supports students attending colleges and universities throughout the state of Indiana. Student participants receive:
- Individualized guidance, mentoring and tutoring
- Service learning and cultural events
- Monthly advising and student meetings
Dr. Bowen is the Founder and retired President & CEO of Bowen Engineering, one of the most successful construction companies in the country. The author of "It Takes More Than Concrete (How to Build a Construction Business From the Ground Up)" and his wife have a deep commitment to the Marion County community and the surrounding area. The Bowens believe that given an opportunity, a person can increase his or her earning potential, improve self-esteem, and set an example for future generations. The Bowens wish for BOP students to achieve these goals.
