Generating a model for optimizing the distribution costs
3 wheeler is a new project taken up by TVS with completely new product design and new manufacturing setup. The supplier base and plant are now operational; product will be launched by the end of this year. We are establishing the cost flow structure for the 3 wheeler through our ERP for made-in-works (MIW) and bought-out (BO) parts. Project objective would be validation and verification of this cost flow structure.
Benchmarking selling prices across geographies for passenger 3 wheelers
Establish a trend spotting system for young girls.To give the brand teams a periodic report on trends in style, media habits, cool gadgets, movies, music etc. The project will evaluate the role of different primary and secondary information sources like popular magazines, TV programs, expert panels, focus groups with style leaders and recommend the framework, process, frequency and estimated cost of doing this on a continuous basis.
Demand estimation for the Bebek in india -Amongst women .Bebek is not an established product format in India, and most women would not even know how to ride/ operate the vehicle. However, it offers great advantages which might be preferred by women customers. The project would involve working with a market research agency to estimate the demand and arrive at the marketing strategy for the Bebek in India. The project complexity stems from the fact that the respondents would have to be first taught how to ride the vehicle before taking their views.
- Template for school contact programs in WOW - Women-on-wheels project .The WOW project is an extensive school contact program where more than 50 lakh girl students are contacted for conducting Road safety programmes, Career seminars etc. The collaterals currently involve presentations, speeches by police/ academicians, Audio-visuals, training kits, and ride experience. The intern will need to work with the WOW project teams to understand the students’ response to the current programme and suggest alternative formats/ modifications and form a template for the contact programs.
Customer delight in TVSM showrooms .The project needs to map the experience of female customers in the TVSM showrooms and come up with recommendations on how we can make the buying experience ‘special’. The scope will include showroom aesthetics, sales-talk, selling-aids, test-rides, and any other activities that can significantly improve the buying experience of women in our showrooms.
- The Scootygals website has been designed as a comprehensive portal for young girls, aimed at making the brand larger than just a 2-wheeler brand. The project should estimate the current effectiveness of the website through customer contacts, and benchmark with other websites in related areas. The objective is to identify what should be our non-duplicated strengths in the internet space and suggest site specifications. The intern can work with our web design agency to execute the new look.
