Purdue Finance Workshop

The Purdue Finance Workshop was founded in 2013 as a collaboration of Purdue undergraduate students, several Krannert alums who work on Wall Street, and the Purdue Finance faculty. The purpose of the workshop is to connect talented undergraduate students who are passionate about careers in investment banking and financial market with professionals in the business. The Purdue Finance Workshop has hosted a “Train the Street event” as well as the Purdue Finance Forum and The Purdue Private Equity Conference and welcomes donor support to cover the cost of these and other events for the students. In addition, Finance-focused case competitions are a great way to interact with our students and identity great talent.

A 2-day event where students are coached around topics of professional behavior, personal presentation skills as well as using spreadsheet modeling skills for financial analysis.

Date: Spring 2018

Location: Purdue West Lafayette Campus

Invitees: Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in finance or consulting

Financial Support: Event cost $5,000 to $7,000

Recognition and Branding:

  • Sponsors will be recognized as Boiler Gold Sponsors at $5,000, Boiler Black Sponsors at $1,000.

The Undergraduate and Graduate Program and the Purdue Chapter of the Financial Management Association collaborate to offer our Finance majors an opportunity to compete in a Corporate Case Competition in which both undergraduate and graduate students compete.

Purdue Corporate Finance Case Competition is a one-day or two-day event with teams composed of both undergraduate and graduate students compete for prize money. The event would be named for the sponsor. The sponsoring organization would provide some judges and could provide the case to be analyzed.

Date: Spring 2018

Location: Purdue West Lafayette campus

Financial Support: Minimum of $5,000 and up to $10,000 for sponsorship of the event which would include event costs and prize money

Support Deadline: December 2017

Recognition and Branding:

  • Event would be named for the sponsoring organization and publicized widely through Krannert promotional channels both on campus and off campus
