Financial Management Association is guided by the mission to bring in industry leaders to present to our members about financial topics and the various finance related career paths available after graduation. Additionally, through internal member events such as fundraising, volunteering and networking socials, we strive to add value to our member’s educational experience.

Top Events

Every year, we have a day trek to a surrounding city to visit key corporate sponsors.
This exposes our members to your office/culture and gives an opportunity to meet employees, helping
them make informed career decisions.
Every fall, we partner with a corporate sponsor to complete a member only
finance-related case competition. This helps your organization identify top undergraduates at Purdue, as
well as establish relationships with potential future employees.
Every March, we have our annual Krannert wide Banking Careers Panel. This event
has four panelists from four different firms discuss working in banking, professional advice and career
expectations. There is a networking reception after the event, giving the panelists and students time to
interact and build connections.
Every year, we send 6-12 members to finance/FMA sponsored conferences. Last
year, we went to the FMA undergraduate student conference in Chicago. This year, we attended the CFA
Society of Indianapolis’s Annual Investment Forum. In the fall, we are seeking funding to send at least two
representatives to the Annual FMA Meeting in New Orleans. For spring 2020, we are seeking funding to
send 8-12 members to the FMA Finance Leaders Conference in Chicago.
