James joined the Krannert Advising Office in May 2018. As an advisor, he counsels undergraduate students on their plans of study, course selection, registration, career planning, study abroad, and a variety of academic issues. The best part of his job is helping students realize they have the capacity to achieve their goals and get involved in the hundreds of student organizations at Purdue.

Prior to joining Krannert, James was a research assistant at NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising at Kansas State; an admissions officer at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln; and an intern in the United States Senate and Kansas Legislature. He has also managed several political campaigns in his home state of Kansas. He lives in West Lafayette with his wife, Haileigh, and enjoys travel, college football, fishing and hunting, and following politics.
