Steven Shelby
Director of the Larsen Leaders Academy
Steve Shelby joined Krannert as the Director of the Larsen Leaders Academy in January 2020. Steve began his Purdue career in 1996, in the College of Agriculture, and has since worked in the University Development Office, Discovery Park, and Purdue Polytechnic Lafayette. Most recently he was on loan from Purdue to Conexus Indiana, focusing on workforce training for the manufacturing industry.
Originally from Lafayette, Steve is also part of a family farm operation that has been in Tippecanoe County since 1828. Prior to Purdue, Steve was in banking, specializing in the automotive sector. A graduate of Hanover College, he also holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Students explore leadership in experiential study abroad course
While some college students headed to the beach for spring break, a group of 15 undergraduates from Purdue University’s Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business traveled to Ireland for the “Belfast Titanic Experience,” a two-credit, immersion-learning course focused on leadership, decision-making, change management, and story crafting.
