Yang Wang is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and master's from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Wang has taught undergraduate courses of Management Information Systems, Database Management, and graduate courses of Python Programming, Management of Organizational Data, and the Industry Practicum in Management Information Systems. She was the recipient of Krannert Outstanding and Distinguished Teacher in 2018 and 2019. She was also the recipient of 2019 Krannert Summer Teaching Innovation Award. Dr. Wang's research primarily focuses on social media, social networks, and user-generated content. She was the recipient of the Best Paper Award in the 11th China Summer Workshop on Information Management (CSWIM).


Dr. Wang is serving as the Assistant Academic Director for the M.S. in Business Analytics and Information Management (BAIM) program and M.S. in BAIM Advisory Committee Chair.
