PURCE Policy Luncheon or Livestream with Brian Roberson

Thursday, September 16, 2021
11:30 am

A contest is an event in which two or more contestants compete to determine a winner. An upcoming PURCE presentation will examine some takeaways from research on environments with a set of interlinked contests.

Speaker Dr. Brian Roberson, professor of economics, will discuss recent research that highlights the potential gains, arising in such environments, in moving from centralized decision making to decentralized decision making. This is a prominent feature of Department of Defense policy initiatives such as the mosaic warfare concept proposed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

Your host will be PURCE Kozuch Director Dr. Kevin Mumford, and there will be a Q&A following Dr. Roberson’s talk.

Lunch is served in Rawls Hall at 11:30 a.m. Those viewing via livestream will join us at noon.
