Byron Young currently works at Nike as the Manager of City Territory Analytics where he partners with senior leaders to make strategic decisions in sales and planning in the central region of the United States. 

Prior to Nike, Byron began his career at Target Corporation as a Business Analyst responsible for the inventory planning and allocation of $100M+ in annual inventory for 1800 US stores.  In 2015, Byron left Target Corporation as a Senior Consultant of Merchandise Strategy & Insights where he with partnered with senior leaders to identify and solve some of retail’s most complex problems.  Then, Byron moved to NYC to work as a client solutions coordinator at Twitter, where he analyzed social trends and data to deliver key insights to Fortune 50 clients such as PepsiCo, Mondelez & L’Oreal.    

In 2016, Byron left Twitter, Inc. to work for Mad Engine, LLC, a global license apparel wholesaler based in San Diego, CA.  Byron served as the Global Director of Business Planning and was responsible for inventory management, strategic planning strategy and P&L for the top retailers including Walmart, Target, Kohl’s & Amazon.  Byron left the San Diego sunshine to move Chicago to work for Nike, Inc.

Byron graduated from the Krannert School of Management with a B.S. in Management & Marketing in May 2012 (with an Entrepreneurship Certificate).  While at Krannert, Byron served as the president of the Society of Minority Managers (SMM) and as a Management Ambassador.

Outside of work, Byron enjoys spending time with family, traveling with his beautiful wife Beverly and doing anything sports related.  He’s active on Twitter, you can follow him @ibyroncy.
