\nWe hope you are having a wonderful start to your spring semester. We wanted to take a moment to make you aware of our upcoming Office of ExEd Community of Practice events and ExEd Champions workshops.
Community of Practice: Digital and International Collaborations through COIL and Virtual Exchange. Thursday, January 26 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Zoom. In Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programs, university classes from different countries collaborate digitally to spark innovation. From working with international partners, to supporting student collaboration, to mediating relationships and learning digitally, there’s a lot that ExEd practitioners can learn from the COIL model. This Community of Practice session will help you consider how you can apply skills and frameworks used in COIL to ExEd both within and beyond the COIL model.
Community of Practice: Practitioner-Scholars and the Scholarship of ExEd. Wednesday, March 22 from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Zoom. Many ExEd Program leaders have wondered how they might turn their work with ExEd into journal publications and conference presentations, but it can be a challenge to know where to begin. Join Dr. Patrick Green, Executive Director of the Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship at Loyola University Chicago, as he discusses the concept of practitioner-scholars and the scholarship of ExEd.
You can register for these events by completing the Qualtrics Event RSVP. Zoom links to the events will be sent via Outlook appointments.
