Dr. Evans is the course coordinator and primary instructor for MGMT 305 - Business Statistics.  His main research interests are in multivariate analysis, optimization algorithms, and statistics education.  His instructional philosophy is centered on conceptual understanding of data analysis techniques, business and finance applications, and software-based learning.  Dr. Evans received his Bachelor's degrees with High Distinction in Mathematics and Education from Penn State, a Master's in Mathematics from Indiana and a Ph.D. in Statistics from UCLA.  At UCLA, along with his research and teaching responsibilities, he provided statistical consulting to academic researchers in business and in the social and life sciences and was named Most Outstanding Computational Statistician.
