New MS program has skyrocketing enrollments

Programs that stand still get passed by. We are creating strong partnerships that provide innovative pathways to degree completion and are continually adapting curriculum to meet market demands.

On campus, Krannert has teamed with the College of Engineering to offer a two-year program in which students earn an MBA and MS in engineering. Off campus, we have partnered with MIT; students completing its challenging online certificate program are piped directly into Krannert’s highly ranked master’s degree in global supply chain management program.

We’ve long been known as an analytical school, and so it should be no surprise that our new MS program in Business Analytics and Information Management (BAIM) has skyrocketing enrollments, with numbers doubling each of the last two years. The analytics focus extends throughout the school and carries important benefits. Degrees that are sufficiently quantitative can earn a STEM certification. This is particularly attractive to international students because it allows them to work in the U.S. for three years prior to securing permanent work status. Our master’s degrees in finance, marketing, global supply chain, economics and BAIM all now carry that valuable STEM classification.

Goal: Ensure a diverse environment at Krannert.

A diverse Krannert is a stronger Krannert. The Dr. Cornell A. Bell Business Opportunity Program (BOP), created after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018. The program’s success speaks for itself.

The school is currently fundraising for $4 million to endow the BOP summer program, which brings students to campus to take classes before the fall semester begins and provides a valuable support cohort.
