Why should a prospective student choose the Krannert School?

I believe a prospective student should choose Krannert for the all-around experience. I think Krannert is exceptional at providing us with all of the resources we need to be successful in our future careers. Everything from the courses offered, KPDC one-on-one coaching to even our social hours on Wednesday afternoons to hear what else is going on within Krannert.

What extracurricular clubs are you involved in at Krannert and how have they contributed to your experience?

Within Krannert I am currently involved in Krannert’s 3+2 club for combined students and serve as the Vice President of Alumni Relations. I am also a member of Graduate Women in Business. Both have given me wonderful opportunities to connect more with my peers and alumni to share experiences and offer support for each other in any way possible.

How would you describe the Krannert faculty?

I would describe the Krannert faculty as a second family here at my home away from home. They are constantly there for each and every one of us students. They continue to go above and beyond to help us and want to see us all succeed in all aspects of our lives.

Your classmates come from a variety of work background. What have you been able to learn from them?

I have been able to learn an immense amount from my peers who come from different work backgrounds. I appreciate them sharing their experiences with me since I don’t have nearly as much work experience as most of them. Listening to what they have to tell me has made it much more clear to me what jobs I would enjoy most in my future. In addition to this, I have also valued hearing about our international students’ work experiences since I hope to do some traveling to various countries in my future career.

How has the Krannert School helped develop your leadership skills?

Krannert has greatly enhanced my leadership skills both inside the classroom, as well as outside. Inside the classroom we are often divided into teams, much like how it will be out in the working world for us. Those experiences have helped me realize when to step up and lead, and also when it is best for me to follow. Being able to recognize people’s strengths and how they learn best is something I am still learning more about in my current Leadership class by Professor Wilson. Outside of the classroom, students at Krannert are offered numerous opportunities to enhance our leadership skills through the Launching Global Leaders events. I have to many favorites of theirs to count.

How would you describe living in West Lafayette?

For me, I have absolutely loved living in West Lafayette. I have been coming to Purdue football and basketball games here since before I can remember. There seems to be something always going on so long as you embrace every opportunity offered to you. Purdue and West Lafayette are very near and dear to my heart since I am a third generation Boilermaker.

Away from Krannert, what do you do for fun?

Away from Krannert, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Whether it’s getting a Den Pop or froyo from Orange Leaf, I love every second I get to share with them. I also love going home to my small town in Northwest Indiana where almost all of my extended family lives within ten minutes of each other and I can see for miles and miles and enjoy the peace and quiet that country life offers. Nothing will ever beat that for me.

What do you like most about the Krannert School and Purdue?

What I like most about Purdue and Krannert is probably the lifetime friendships you will make here. The people here at Purdue and Krannert are truly the best. I know I have their support no matter what I choose to do in life, and can’t wait to keep in touch with all of them in the future.

How have you been assisted in your job search?

KPDC and other Krannert students and staff have been phenomenal in assisting me with my career search. When I was torn about where I should go for my internship many people were quick to offer me their help and advice to lead me in making my own decision that was best for me.

When we catch up with you in 10 years, what do you expect to be doing?

In 10 years, I hope to still be working in marketing or human resources in a Midwest based company so that I may still enjoy the small town life I love so dearly while still being able to have a job and career I am proud of. When I’m not working, I will undoubtedly be spending my free time with the ones I love most at backyard cookouts or the lake.

Please share what you'd like.

I would just like to say thank you to the entire Krannert faculty and staff for making our Krannert experience what it is. I will truly be ever grateful, and ever true for all they have done. Boiler up!
