Why should a prospective student choose the Krannert School?
Krannert gives you everything a student could want: smart, motivated classmates who are also great people, a great curriculum with multiple options and excellent recruiting/alumni network.

What extracurricular clubs are you involved in at Krannert?  How have they contributed to your experience?
I’m involved with the Energy club, Finance club and SMIF. The Energy club has been the biggest contributor so far since that is the career area I want to go into but with all of them, the opportunity to interact with like-minded students, especially 2nd years, has been great.

Your classmates come from a variety of work backgrounds.  What have you been able to learn from them?
I think my favorite thing about my classmates is seeing the different perspectives that everyone comes from. International and domestic, everyone has such a depth of experiences.

How has the Krannert School helped develop your leadership skills?
It has been great interacting with my classmates, getting the opportunity to help them excel at everything from classes to job searching and networking. Krannert has helped me grow my leadership style and has given me a very diverse class with more differing experiences and levels of work experience than I would have ever had an opportunity to interact with otherwise.

How would you describe living in West Lafayette?
I love West Lafayette. I love being able to walk almost anywhere and the small college town feel. It has also helped getting to know my classmates.

Away from Krannert, what do you do for fun?
I love spending time with my classmates at any of the fine establishments surrounding the university. I also enjoy participating in the judo and Brazilian Jujitsu clubs.

What do you like most about the Krannert School and Purdue?
The people, hands down. I love my classmates. They have such a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds. The one thing they have in common is they are all smart, great people.

Why should a prospective student choose the Krannert School?
I don’t think any other schools brings the combination of people, academics, recruiting and alumni network. The people here are amazing: helpful, fun to spend time with and super smart. Purdue is one of the top engineering schools in the world and that brings advantages in recruiting as well as academic prestige. The alumni network has also been a great help in my internship search. Almost every major company has Purdue alumni and those I have talked to have been just as helpful and great to talk to as the staff.

How have you been assisted in your job search?
KPDC has been great. I started working with the staff over the summer and they have been amazing. They have helped me with my resume, assisted in internship search, and helped motivate me when I’ve gotten down on the process. They have remind me it is a marathon not a sprint.

Who is the person, business world or otherwise, that you most admire, and why?
Mary Slater Jones has been an amazing help. She is an alumni of Krannert at the company I would love to see myself at: Shell Oil. She is one of the nicest, smartest, most capable people I have ever met in my career. I think she embodies everything that I like about Krannert.

When we catch up with you in 10 years, what do you expect to be doing?
Hopefully enjoying my career in the oil industry in Houston, getting to spend time with my classmates and coming back to Krannert to talk with the incoming classes and help them the way the alumni and second years have helped me.
