Why should a prospective student choose the Krannert School?
The diversity within the school is astounding. It is so helpful to have different backgrounds and perspectives when working with classmates, and it leads to better discussions and learning. I love that Krannert is a well-known school with an excellent curriculum and supportive staff.
What extracurricular clubs are you involved in at Krannert and how have they contributed to your experience?
I am a first year rep for KGSA and the Krannert Energy Club. They have really contributed to my experience getting involved and planning activities to better Krannert as a whole. It has also enabled me to get to know a lot of my fellow students. I am also in the Ops and Marketing clubs. It keeps me very busy but very involved.
How would you describe the Krannert faculty?
Supreme. The vast majority of the faculty is awesome and extremely helpful. More often than not, when I have a question or a concern, whomever I speak to will drop whatever they are doing and help out.
Your classmates come from a variety of work background. What have you been able to learn from them?
First, I have learned a lot about cross cultural sensitivity and learning what things to say and do around different cultures. I have mostly learned that all people essentially want the same thing, to be respected and involved.
How has the Krannert School helped develop your leadership skills?
I have been able to develop my servant leadership skills by serving in the student government and creating events for my classmates to encourage collaboration and community. I have also been able to practice leading, in the many group projects we have, when I am out of my depth and have to rely on someone else’s expertise.
How would you describe living in West Lafayette?
It is a quaint small town.
Away from Krannert, what do you do for fun?
There is time away from Krannert? My wife and I like to have people over at our house for dinner and play games. We also like to go camping.
What do you like most about the Krannert School and Purdue?
I love how everyone is motivated to be here. Everyone is just as invested as you are in the program and it is a big community where you can rely on each other.
Have you been assisted in your job search?
Yes. However, it is not up to the professional development center to find me a job. It is my search. They can provide assistance and advice but at the end of the day I have to put in the time to find the job I want.
When we catch up with you in 10 years, what do you expect to be doing?
I expect to be involved in critical decision making of a Multinational firm along with being a Purdue alumnus and ambassador. I intend to share my experiences and knowledge with the community and focus on growing together. One of the things I see myself doing after 10 years is to have friends in every country of the world and visiting their homes at least once.
