Curriculum

The MSHRM program is broken up by modules. You can earn your MSHRM degree in as little as 3 semesters (6 modules). Each semester consists of 2 eight-week modules.

This 48-credit degree contains the following:

  • 12 hours of MSHRM core classes. Examples include staffing tools and compensation and rewards.
  • 8 hours in MBA core courses. Examples include employment law and launching global leaders.
  • 16 hours in MSHRM electives. Examples include managing human capital globally and talent management.
  • 4 hours accomplished by taking the Human Capital Consulting Project (Experiential Learning).
  • 8 hours in MBA electives. Examples include marketing management and strategic management. 

Real-World Opportunities

Our MSHRM program offers many opportunities to gain experience before graduation. Through networking and hand-on experiences, students get insight into real-world applications.

Students can participate in case competitions, consulting opportunities, and our Human Capital Consulting (HCC) capstone experience courses. These HCC courses invite student teams to apply the skills and knowledge they have gained in their coursework to help a real company.

Program Cost and ROI

The program costs for the MSHRM are:

$11,209.00 per semester for Indiana residents*

$21,092.00 per semester for non-residents of Indiana*

*All fees are subject to increase based on approval by the Purdue University Trustees

After graduation, students have found positions with companies like Amazon, Procter & Gamble, General Electric, IBM, and China Critic Press, among others. Our 2017 class boasts an average salary of $76,636 and a median salary of $82,000. Of the 26% that reported a hiring bonus, the average was $9,083 and the median was $8,500.
