Purdue University livestreams panels on COVID-19 supply chain disruptions and economic implications

Professors in the Krannert School of Management and College of Agriculture at Purdue University participated in an hourlong panel discussion and Q&A on May 18 about the disruptions to supply chains caused by COVID-19 and implications for consumers. Panelists for the event, which was livestreamed to the Krannert Facebook page, were:

Ananth Iyer, the Susan Bulkeley Butler Chair in Operations Management and senior associate dean of the Krannert School, who discussed how the supply chain has been affected by COVID-19.
Jayson Lusk, distinguished professor and head of the Department of Agricultural Economics in the College of Agriculture, who talked about the current food supply situation.
Mohammad Rahman, associate professor of management at the Krannert School, who covered how retailers need to adapt their omnichannel marketing strategies due to the crisis.

Earlier in May, three Krannert faculty affiliates from the Purdue University Research Center in Economics (PURCE) hosted a Facebook Live event on the economic implications of COVID-19. Panelists for the event were:

Tim Bond, associate professor of economics, who spoke about labor and unemployment. His areas of expertise are labor economics, organizational economics and economics of education.
Jillian Carr, assistant professor of economics, who discussed crime implications related to the virus. Her areas of expertise include economics of crime, public policy and labor economics.
Tim Moore, associate professor of economics, who addressed COVID-19-related health economics. His areas of expertise are public finance and health economics.
