Krannert conference addresses supply chain disruptions

Purdue University’s Global Supply Chain Management Initiative (GSCMI) will host a virtual conference on February 18 titled “Managing Supply Chain Disruption.” The conference, which runs from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Zoom, is free and open to the public, but registration is required for industry and faculty participants as well as students. The conference will offer best practice solutions used by industry leaders to mitigate the consumer impact of disruptions to their global supply chains.


Speakers and panelists include:

* James “Rusty” Baldwin, global solution manager for the SAP manufacturing suite and the digital marketing cloud for execution

* Sheila Beutel, associate director of sales and operations planning, BraunAbility

* Bryce Carpenter, vice president of industry engagement, Conexus Indiana

* Bob Galyen, owner, Galyen Energy

* Barry Greenhouse, senior vice president and president, global supply chain and customer experience, W.W. Grainger

* Ananth Iyer, Susan Bulkeley Butler Chair in Operations Management and GSCMI director

* Susan Krystek, managing director of supply chain and operations, Accenture

* Richard Mansilla, vice president of global procurement, Wabash National

* Charles “Buddy” Penquite, senior manager, supplier management department, Subaru of Indiana Automotive

The Global Supply Chain Management Initiative, located in the Krannert School of Management, promotes education, research and industrial engagement with those interested in supply chain management. The center holds various conferences and student competitions and solicits company projects that create venues for local and international collaboration between industry, students and faculty.
