Benjamin Hubbard



Ben earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Illinois State University in 2015. Prior to joining Purdue, Ben worked in public accounting for three years as an auditor at RSM in Chicago, specializing in the manufacturing industry. He maintains an active CPA license in the state of Illinois.

Ben’s research interests include audit and regulation research. Ben is interested in the role of regulation on auditor and manager behavior. Ben is also interested in how firm financial reporting characteristics shape auditor perceptions and reporting decisions.

In addition to research, Ben serves as a lead instructor for the Becker Fast Pass CPA Exam Review Program at Purdue University. He also teaches intermediate accounting at Purdue and draws on his strengths as a professional to incorporate relevant and engaging classroom experiences for students.
