As the first research stream, he examines a demand-side driver of a firm's strategic decisions and performances. As the second research stream, he also studies how a firm continues to explore strategic alternatives when failing to achieve its strategic goal. He explores these issues, using quasi-experimental designs and machine learning algorithms (e.g., natural language processing). Prior to joining academia, he worked at the Financial Management Department of Samsung Electronics, Samil PwC, and the Seoul High Court. He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) holder as well.
