The Krannert network is incredibly strong, and this was exemplified to me when I had the opportunity to attend an Indiana Pacers game as a guest of Krannert. Arriving at Bankers Life Fieldhouse with four fellow Krannert students, we made our way up to Dean Hummels’ reserved box and we couldn’t have been more excited. Inside were lots of Krannert faculty, a few prospective students, and tons of alumni from the Indianapolis area. As we filled our plates with delicious food, we talked with multiple alumni who work in a variety of fields. They each asked us about our experiences and career goals and told us about their experience at Purdue and where they’ve been since graduation.

Making connections is a key to being successful in the business world. Meeting and mingling with these incredible alumni and faculty members was just another opportunity that Krannert has given me to build my network. These alumni were all glad to connect with me and keep in contact in the future to help with career and life advice.

On top of these opportunities to meet more Purdue alumni, I got to watch my first NBA game and indulge in a delicious dessert cart. I also was able to talk with Dean Hummels about my experiences in Krannert and where I will be heading after graduation. I appreciate all of the incredible opportunities I have received through Krannert and I can’t wait to continue building my network as I join our alumni in the working world.

Haley Toumaian is a senior studying Marketing and Management with a minor in Psychology. She is a Management Ambassadors and is completing the Entrepreneurship Certificate. After graduation, she will work in marketing analytics at the NPD Group in Los Angeles.
