After the first two weeks, students will fly to Rio de Janeiro with onsite and Purdue staff. In Rio, students will take ECON 360 with Purdue faculty member Kevin Mumford.

Econometrics - ECON 360
This course examines the statistical techniques used to analyze economic data, estimate casual effects, make predictions, and test economic theory. Students learn empirical skills used in analytical consulting, financial modeling, economic research, and by analysts in the private and public sectors in Brazil. Emphasis is placed on estimating a single equation (e.g., demand function) and the problems associated with such estimation.

International Trade – ECON 370
