Program Dates: Spring Break 2017; Departure March 10, 2017 for Taiwan with return to Purdue on March 18, 2017.
Host: Krannert School of Management and National Chengchi University.
Eligibility: The program is open to all Krannert undergraduate students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0.
Course Credits: Students will earn 1 credit (MGMT 39000) which can be applied toward graduation requirements.

The charges for this program will be approximately $2782.  Cost includes tuition/fees, roundtrip airfare, insurance, transportation, excursions, most meals, and a room for 7 nights (double rooms).  $500 non-refundable deposit required to secure spot in the program.  Deposit will be deducted from the total program costs.


Students may apply up to a $1000 Krannert student scholarship in addition to the $500 Purdue Moves Scholarship. For more information click here!

Course Descriptions

MGMT 39000 - Asian Emerging Markets and Economies (International Elective)

This one credit course will provide an examination of the industrial infrastructure of Taiwan and its relation to business, trade, and manufacturing globalization. The curriculum consists of half-day lectures on Asian economic developments, financial markets in Taiwan, business environments in Taiwan and China, information technology, language, and culture. There are also on-site visits to local businesses and industries. Students will be paired up with local Taiwanese students who will help facilitate a unique ‘off the beaten path’ experience!

Excursions - Included are visits to local business and cultural destinations such as National Palace Museum, Taipei 101, Hsinchu Science Park, night markets, and a company visit
