It has been a record-breaking fundraising year at Krannert. Krannert received multimillion-dollar gifts from Marshall and Susan Larsen for the newly named Larsen Leaders Academy and from Gerald Lyles for faculty, student and facilities support.
Fundraising is critical to attracting and retaining great faculty. Ellen Kossek was named a Fellow by the Academy of Management, making her the second professor in school history to receive the prestigious honor. Three faculty members, Brian Dineen, Huseyin Gulen and Ralph Siebert, were promoted to full professor. We also brought four new faculty members to campus in 2018 with tenure, helping bridge our junior faculty with more established teachers and researchers.
Krannert’s research centers partner with corporate sponsors to help faculty bring cutting-edge knowledge into the classroom and far beyond campus walls. The Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises worked on projects with dozens of firms, including one with Procter & Gamble that reduced production time close to 5 percent through more effective sequencing.
