Paul L. Drnevich (Ph. D., Purdue University) is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the University of Alabama and a Visiting Research Scholar at Purdue University. Previously he held an appointment as a visiting Associate Professor at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). His research interests include: 1) examining how organizational capabilities contribute to value creation and appropriation, the effects of environmental uncertainty on their contribution, and the role of IT in these contributions, particularly in entrepreneurial ventures; and 2) Solving problems in management education, business practice, and public policy. His research has been published top journals such as Strategic Management Journal, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Decision Sciences, and Journal of Small Business Management. He is a member of the Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society, serves on the BPS division's executive committee, and the editorial boards of SMJ, JSBM, and AMLE
