Old Masters Reception for Students, Staff, and Faculty

Come to the Krannert Drawing Room for a reception and conversation with Old Masters Krannert alums.  You will meet Tarrus Richardson the CEO of IMB Development Corp. and Julie Wainwright, the CEO and founder of the TheRealReal.com.

 
Mr. Tarrus Richardson received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1991 from Purdue University. He also received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Currently Richardson serves as the CEO of IMB Development Corporation, a business built on acquisition of best in class business with a focus on minority and women business initiatives and solutions. Before IMB, Richardson served as CEO, founder, or lead director of: Chung’s Foods, ICV Partners, The Hilsinger Company, and others. He is the founder of the Council of Urban Professionals, and past president of the Purdue Black Alumni Organization. Richardson was the lead funder of two documentaries: BlackPurdue and Reginald Lewis — the Making of a Billion Dollar Empire. He was also a Robert Toigo Fellow during his time at Harvard Business School. We cannot wait to welcome Mr. Richardson back as a 2018 Old Master.
 
 
Ms. Julie Wainwright earned her Bachelor of Science in Management from Purdue University in 1979. Wainwright has been leading tech companies for more than 20 years as the CEO of Reel.com and Pets.com, and now the founder of TheRealReal.com, an online marketplace for luxury consignment. The company has raised $173 million in venture capital funding. She has received several prestigious awards such as Forbes 40 over 40, W Magazine’s GameChanger Award, Vanity Fair’s New Establishment 2017 List and many others. She is a frequent speaker at industry events as well as top universities. Wainwright was recently recognized with the Burton D. Morgan Entrepreneurship Award, and supports numerous local and national non-profits focused on women, children, and the arts. We cannot wait to welcome Julie Wainwright back to Purdue for the program this fall.
 
We have arranged a reception for the Old Masters with students, faculty and staff on Monday, November 5, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm in the Krannert Drawing Room. We invite everyone to come and visit with these accomplished Krannert alums.  We hope to see you there.
