Brianna Cook, Owner & Chef, Pepper & Mint Catering LLC

Brianna born as a Texas native 1992 is owner and executive chef at Pepper & Mint Catering, a full-service catering company based in Houston, Texas. Brianna's lifelong dream has been to own a restaurant. Brianna dreamed of attending culinary school, but was encouraged by her father to seek a business degree to understand how to make a business profitable. Brianna attended Purdue University on an academic scholarship through the Business Opportunity Program (BOP) and obtained a degree in Finance and an Entrepreneurship minor. She graduated May 2014.

Brianna moved back to Houston, after college, and joined Shell Oil Company's graduate rotational program. She worked in Corporate for five years, and then took a leap of faith to pursue full-time entrepreneurship. She founded Pepper & Mint Catering in 2019, named after her love for fresh herbs and seasonings.

In her first year of business, despite a global pandemic, Brianna was blessed to experience a multitude of opportunities. She was a full-time private chef for a family, catered 3 weddings, hired by a Billboard Hot 100 R&B artist to cater his team at a sold-out concert, hired by a professional NBA team to cater a pre- and post- game meal, meal services/prep for a variety of people, cater a host of corporate events, and cook for more than 200+ families' special occasions.

She believes that God gifts everybody with a specific purpose to fulfill. She believes love, passion and a solid vision, with a strong work ethic and the desire to constantly learn and adapt will build a foundation to be successful. She hopes to be an example for people to pursue their dreams, despite adversity.
